Welcome to my little online home, Seven Simplified.
I am passionate about helping mothers find encouragement and self-acceptance. I love to share the things I’m learning about motherhood, ways to simplify, survive, and sometimes thrive. I believe in being honest, transparent really, about my crazy life.
A little about me:
I am married to a potato farmer who happens to be the man of my dreams! I swore I would never marry a farmer. I would never get married before I was twenty-five, and I certainly wasn’t going to live fifteen minutes from my hometown. But after a whirlwind romance, I did all of those things! And I’ve been grateful everyday of the last twenty years that I did.
I am a mother of five children, yes F I V E! How did that happen? Well ok…I know how it happened but I still can’t wrap my mind around it. I am the nurturer for five amazing, challenging, unique, and strong willed children of God. Most days I wish I could just freeze frame them so I could find the answers to all the mothering questions that circle my brain. Instead, I alternate between bliss and chaos and hope I’m doing something right.
I’m a Mormon, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The gospel grounds me, fills my soul with assurance that I am a child of God. Because of my divine lineage, I can do this thing called life!
I have a job, a grown up, out-of-the-house kind of job. I have it because I need it. It brings me sanity and order. I work with people who like me…a girl from “the mother-hood” needs that!
I am a student. Yes, I am that sort-of-old lady who has to put on her confidence hat before walking into a classroom filled with super smart millennials. It’s good for me. It’s a challenge that has helped me find my groove and I happen to LOVE it.
I’ll never be the perfect Pinterest mom and I’m 100% ok with that. Life at our house is real, it’s messy, and unpredictable. But it’s filled with love and laughter, and some pretty great humans.
